Silence and driving comfort

At the wheel of our plug-in hybrid vehicles, enjoy a quiet and smooth driving experience. When switching to electric mode, a cyan LED lights up behind the windshield to indicate its activation.

Dedicated E-TENSE services

Benefit from DS Automobiles services directly from your smartphone or your vehicle to make your daily life easier: locating terminals and planning your recharge or installing a charging station at home.

Broadcasts

With the plug-in hybrid engine, our E-TENSE vehicles combine low emissions and low consumption: from 30 g/km of CO₂ and 1.4 l/100km (depending on the model). You can therefore drive in town even in the event of traffic restrictions.

Driving modes

Our plug-in hybrid vehicles have four driving modes:

HYBRID mode, activated by default, allows you to drive at certain times on electric power and at other times on thermal power. Useful both in town and on the highway, it offers you optimal use of electrical energy.

 Zero Emission mode is ideal for traveling in urban areas. You can therefore travel more than 65km (in the WLTP¹ cycle depending on the model) without consuming a single drop of gasoline. Absolute silence on board, exceptional responsiveness: experience new sensations.

 Activate SPORT mode to unlock the potential of your DS E-TENSE. The combustion engine delivers all its power to you, assisted by the two electric motors. Accelerations, accelerations: your driving pleasure is at its peak.

 The 4X4 or 4WD mode (on the E-TENSE 4x4 version) improves traction on the road or difficult terrain. The power of the combustion engine and electric motors is transmitted to all four wheels of the vehicle evenly, greatly improving grip whether on wet, muddy, snowy or winding roads.

Regenerative braking

Thanks to our commitment to Formula E as well as our double champion title, we have developed several innovations including regenerative braking. Like an engine brake, it allows, during deceleration phases, to transform kinetic energy into electricity, thus recharging the battery of your electric car.

This function can be activated with a simple flick of your gear lever.

E-SAVE function

The E-SAVE function saves up to 30km of electrical energy in your batteries for later use. This mode is particularly useful for anticipating a restricted traffic zone, reserved only for “clean” vehicles.

The mapping available on the large touch screen shows you in real time the perimeter that can be covered in electric mode as well as the charging stations.

 

TAX AID and ADVANTAGES

A tax system of its own

The plug-in hybrid allows savings even at the time of registration. When purchasing a new hybrid vehicle, a bonus is in fact granted. A PHEV vehicle may also be exempt from registration fees.

RECHARGE

It's always a good time to recharge

There are different ways to recharge your electric car battery. Depending on the charging method you choose, the charging time will be longer or shorter.

You can opt for a recharge at your usual parking places. At night at home, or during the day at work for example. On longer trips, stop at a fast charging station for a quick break. You will thus recover 80% of autonomy in 30 minutes.

Remote charging

Remote heating and cooling

Setting the thermal pre-conditioning of the passenger compartment allows you to program the heating or air conditioning of your car. Designed for your comfort, this function also helps preserve the autonomy of your battery if the vehicle is charging.
